Cookie Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective August 18, 2026 · Part of the Privacy Policy

The short version. The Nuro mobile apps use no cookies and carry no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Our websites use a small number of cookies: the ones that keep you signed in, and product analytics on the marketing site that tell us which pages people find useful. We run no advertising cookies, no ad networks, and no cross-site tracking, and we never sell or share your information for advertising. This legal site sets no cookies at all.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies such as local storage and session storage save data in the browser in the same way. In this policy, "cookies" means all of them.

2. The mobile apps

  • The iOS and Android apps do not use cookies.
  • They contain no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics SDKs. No advertising identifier is collected, and none of your activity is shared with ad networks.
  • The apps do store things on your own device so the app works offline and remembers your preferences: your sign-in session, cached meals and photos, your private journal, and local settings. That data stays on your phone. It is not a tracking technology, and deleting the app removes it.

3. The websites

Nuro operates several sites. What they set depends on what the site does.

SiteWhat it sets
This legal site (legal.getpippa.app) Nothing. It is plain HTML with no scripts, no cookies, and no analytics. You can read every policy here without being counted.
Marketing site (getpippa.app) Strictly necessary hosting cookies, plus PostHog product analytics (cookies and local storage) so we can see which pages and links people use. If you arrive through a referral link, the referral code in the URL is stored in your browser so the referrer gets credit at signup.
Clinician and family dashboard Strictly necessary sign-in cookies (session and anti-forgery tokens), plus local storage for interface preferences such as light or dark theme and which patient tab you had open. No analytics or advertising cookies run on the dashboard, because it displays patient health information.
Clinician hub (clinics.getpippa.app) and blog Strictly necessary hosting cookies, plus local storage for the light or dark theme setting.

4. The categories we use

CategoryPurposeTypical lifetime
Strictly necessary Keeping you signed in, protecting forms against cross-site request forgery, load balancing, and security. The service cannot work without these, so they are not optional. Session, up to 30 days for a sign-in session
Preferences Remembering interface choices such as theme. Stored in your browser's local storage, never sent to an ad network. Until you clear your browser storage
Product analytics (marketing site only) PostHog, to count visits and understand which pages help people decide whether Nuro is right for them. Configured so that a profile is created only for identified users, and used for our own product decisions only. Up to 12 months
Advertising None. We run no ad cookies, no retargeting pixels, and no cross-context behavioral advertising anywhere. n/a

No health information is ever placed in a cookie, and our analytics provider receives no meal logs, photos, moods, chats, or clinical notes.

5. How to control cookies

  • Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data, per site or globally. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out of the dashboard and keep you from signing back in.
  • Analytics. Blocking scripts from us.i.posthog.com, or using a browser or extension that blocks trackers, stops marketing-site analytics. Nothing else on the site depends on it.
  • Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no such sale to opt out of. We do not use these signals for any other purpose.
  • Mobile. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device. Deleting your account removes your data from our servers, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Changes

If we add a cookie or a new provider, we update this page and the date at the top. If we ever added something that legally required your consent, we would ask for it first rather than quietly turning it on.
